Launched in 2021 as an inclusion programme that responded to industry need for a viable pathway to improve the diversity among senior roles, the initiative provides comprehensive support for mid-level professionals to give them the tools, networks and opportunities to progress into a senior, decision-making role.

41 candidates over 2 cohorts have graduated after three years of bespoke training and more will follow in coming years. Cohort 2 have recently graduated in June 2026.

Aleysha Minns McGrath, HETV Professional Skills Manager, ScreenSkills, said about Cohort 2: “It’s great to see the second LOT cohort complete their three years on the programme, using their training and experiences to take the next steps in their HETV careers. It’s been incredibly heartening to see the cohort, from all backgrounds and based across the UK, take on new responsibilities and be able to grow and develop. This would not have been possible without the support of the programme’s partners, Netflix, BBC, Sky and Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios who enabled us to expand the programme to more people, and who we thank hugely.”

Through mentorship and placements, LoT has opened doors for me. Doors that I felt were closed for years. Through the programme, I'm meeting people who are very generous with their time and are not afraid to go the extra mile in order to make our industry a better place for all of us.
